Distribution of the textbook: orphans and vulnerable children come into possession of their books.
One month after the start of the school year 2018-2019, the OVCs supervised in institutions and in the families of reception and origin finally receive their books after the purchase made by the direction.
The list of textbooks amended and published on June 14, 2018 giving way to the “single book” for a period of at least five years, remained for one month after the beginning of classes not found in bookstores. This dysfunction has hindered the team framer who, several times, was found to boost the booksellers to meet the needs of children in institutions and in the host families of origin. As soon as they were informed of their arrival in the bookstores during the fourth week of the school year, the CATE management ran to buy all the books requested from the OVCs at the school.
Thus, on Monday, October 1, 2018, the residents of the center and their elders supervised in community, together with educators have joined the multipurpose room for distribution. Books previously covered and stamped with the stamp of the CAES after their purchases, were distributed to residents of SIL in CM2, and to young people from the community enrolled in high schools, colleges and training centers.
OVCs have each received most of the books namely: French, English, Mathematics, Science, Civics and Morals, History Geography, ICT etc. Not to mention the dictionaries and other exercise documents. They were also made aware of the usefulness of this rich documentation and the need to keep it well.
Our children being well equipped for the continuity of classes, radiated with joy and satisfaction, it was the same for the framed sisters after the uncertainty and worry of a beginning of the year without textbooks.
Everything was back to normal, and a lot of commitment and determination at work were made on behalf of the 2018-2019 school year.
