Three hours! It is the duration of the visit of the association “young peasants” of Luxembourg to “Les Centres d’Accueil de l’Espoir” (CAES), the 09 of September last in spite of the busy schedule of the persons in charge. On the recommendation of Bridderlech Deelen, our donor, the association had just come to imbibe and appreciate the extent of the activities deployed by the CAES and the projects in gestation.15 hours, it is time that the Luxembourg delegation led by the Roman Abbot RICHER, chaplain of the association walked the floor of the Efoulan Temporary Home Center (ETHC). After the official welcoming ceremonies, the guests were treated to a guided tour of the place.
It is by a hymn of welcome executed by the residents of the ETHC that this delegation will take place in the large multipurpose room which today has been full of eggs thanks to the massive presence of the OVCa and all the staff of the CAES. The Director in his speech not only thanked the association “young farmers” through the head of the delegation for honoring the CAES of their presence, but he also presented the various activities developed by the dismemberment of the NGO he is in charge of. The video projection that followed reviewed, beyond the activities of supervision of orphans of AIDS and vulnerable children (OVCa), the history of the association “Les Centres d’Accueil de l’Espoir”, the education / awareness activities and those of social reintegration and vocational integration of young people.
The debates that followed the viewing will offer the opportunity to Father Romain RICHER to thank firstly the Reverend Sister General Manager to them reserved. Secondly, he appreciated the work done by the latter and his collaborators in favor of AIDS orphans and vulnerable children. To her concern about whether the “CAES” needed any support in the future realization of her projects, the General Coordinator and the Director of the Center will answer in the affirmative. According to their interventions, it appears that the CAES need multifaceted support to carry out projects of social reintegration of the OVCa in family, of the socio-professional integration of these after their stay at the Center, in the big schools and the vocational training or apprenticeship centers in order to fully ensure their socio-economic empowerment. The General Coordinator finished by unveiling the OVCa statistics inserted in the various trades. It is accepted that the work done is commendable but considerable efforts remain to be made.
The visit ended with the general satisfaction of the signing of the guest book by the head of the delegation and the family photo.
