At the end of the long first school term, the 53 CATE boarders accompanied by 6 supervisors, benefited from an excursion to the Yaounde Nsimalen international airport on November 30, 2018. As part of the entertainment to cheer them up and make them discover remarkable environments in these moments of end-of-year holidays 2018.
Upon their return from school at 12:30 pm today, the residents quickly dressed up in their festive outfits after their bath. Immediately at 14:00, the transport bus to transport them from the CATE to the airport, parked just at the gate, under shouts of joy and applause from the OVCs who were waiting impatiently.
Once all embarked, the bus drove the group to the airport it was 15 hours on their arrival.
Already at the airport, the boarders fascinated by the splendor of the place: the tracks of planes; the vast car parks, the presence of several security guards, and a few parked planes further, filled a few formal formalities, and then the guided tour began, in various rooms; in the airport lobby, along the esplanade, and close to the tarmac at the airport boarders saw close parked them, and a private jet parked that took off in front of them, before their eyes filled with admiration all crowned with applause and youyous.
It was afterwards that the visit ended with a refreshment, with a feeling of total satisfaction. It was five o’clock. To combine the useful with the pleasant and with the intention of creating an intellectual emulation, the promise was made to the only residents of the CATE who will have an average higher or equal to 12/20, to take part in the next excursion for the 2nd quarter account.
